OPEN/ ???
Every month, Dorothy travels out of Munchkin County. She has a little covered wagon that is pulled by some invisible force. She sits at the driver's seat with a hood over her head and Toto in her lap. Her monkeys sit atop the wagon, looking for trouble. She visits as many populated areas as possible during her outing. Once near people, Dorothy sets up shop. She's not too worried about being spotted. If anyone recognizes her, the worst they can do is to just laugh at her.

Dorothy's shop consists of small bottles, tuffs of hair or fur tied with ribbons, large jars filled with dead things, and the occasional living animal loosely tied to a post. The small bottles are filled with coloured liquids, a few of them labeled "PLACEEBOW" or "MIRACLE" or "FOR COUGH." Things that she brewed herself or things that her monkeys brought back to her. Shiny things or soft things that felt good to their paws.

After shop has been set, one of Dorothy's monkeys grabs a small voodoo doll and tries to hide it. Dorothy begins to fight with her monkey, loudly shouting and running around the wagon. She doesn't even notice the curious potential customer.

Carabosse was more intrigued by the antics of the monkey and the shopkeep than the wares that were almost as curious as the mistress of this strange business. She stood back a bit, fingers poised curiously on her chin and cheek. She observed from underneath the brim of a broad hat which protected her eyes from the blazing sun.

When Dorothy's monkey runs around the wagon, Dorothy's eye is caught. She quickly abandons the voodoo doll and it's captor.

Dorothy looks quite embarrassed. "Hello hello, step right up! Pardon our ruckus!"

"Indeed," Carabosse said quietly. One eyebrow arched, a curious expression. She stepped forth to look at the wares Dorothy had to offer. "Quite the assortment you have here."

Dorothy was never a good judge of character. She's trying to figure this person out.

"Are you looking for anything?"
From: [info]wicked_sleep Date: 03/21/2007 15:26:52

"Nothing in particular," she said aloud. Though you're certainly as interesting as Puss said you would be. "Any recommendations?" she asked coyly.

Dorothy puts a finger to her chin. "Well..." Her monkey sits beside her an attempts to cuddle with her. She snatches the voodoo doll from it. "What about this sort of thing?" She holds it out towards the stranger.

"I don't see myself in much need of a pincushion," Carabosse replied candidly. "How about flowers?" she asked. "You don't happen to have any seed packets?"
From: [info]dorothywakeup Date: 03/23/2007 09:44:15

Dorothy tosses the doll back at the monkey. She seems to be ignoring the woman all together until she hears the word "seeds."

"Wait right here." She climbs up into her wagon and starts to tear through a trunk. She prouduces a small piece of cloth that is tied with a single string. Dorothy starts to untie it, "I think there is something in here." Sure enough, there are some seeds. But Dorothy has no clue at all what they will grow.

Carabosse didn't particularly care what they'd grow in all honesty. It was a chance to observe the little witch for a little longer. She browsed over the packet. "How much for the lot?" she asked, as if she'd pay whatever price Dorothy asked.

"How much do you have?" That seems like a rude thing to say. It's Dorothy's way of asking how much do they look like they're worth?
From: [info]wicked_sleep Date: 03/25/2007 12:50:41

"I have a fair share of your currency," Carabosse replied. Puss had helped her financially, she didn't typically bother with money but it seemed good to have here. "The question is their worth and I do not know if it is possible to ascertain until they've been planted," she said wisely.

i'm bringing sexy back! or this thread.

"You can give me half now and half after they've grown?" No one ever said Dorothy wasn't fair.

Re: i'm bringing sexy back! or this thread.

"Deal," Carabosse agreed. She fished out of handful of money and passed a reasonable amount to Dorothy. "How shall I find you to pay you the rest once I know what I've grown?"

"I'm not easily found..." Her eyes dart. She's paranoid. "Where could I find you?"
From: [info]wicked_sleep Date: 04/09/2007 12:40:33

"I'm even less easily found," Cara replied. "I can send my cat round," she said shrewdly, no suggestion that she knew of their previous relationship. "He's very good at finding people."
From: [info]dorothywakeup Date: 04/09/2007 17:30:56

"A cat?" Dorothy likes those! In fact, she met a talking one-- wait a minute! "Does he converse with them as well?"
From: [info]wicked_sleep Date: 04/10/2007 02:32:19

"At length," she replied, amusement in her tone. "When that cat has something to say he could go on for hours."
From: [info]dorothywakeup Date: 04/10/2007 17:21:05

"If that is the case, he will be able to find me again." Ho ho! Dorothy decides that if she's going to have friends (she certainly does need them), then maybe an acquaintance of that cat (and the cat himself) would be good candidates.
From: [info]wicked_sleep Date: 04/11/2007 09:27:22

"I've no doubt," she said, tucking the seeds into the pouch where she kept all of her money and a dash of magic for emergencies. "I shall send him round once these have sprouted into something."
